Moving a family member into a residential care home or nursing home can be distressing to both them and yourself. It can be a total upheaval of an elderly person’s life, which is why we believe Live-in Care is such a better option. Not only does it allow them to receive personalised one-to-one care, but it also allows them to remain in the comfortable and secure surroundings of their own home.

In addition, a Live-in Care package is often cheaper than nursing or care home fees, especially when care is required for a couple. Our costs are transparent and our care service is tailored to suit your individual needs, meaning you will benefit from high-quality, cost-effective care.

Respite care is a short term care service for those that provide elderly care for a family member or loved one. The service allows those who provide care to have a break, ensuring they do not become overworked, leading to their care to suffer.

By hiring a professional Live-in Carer to handle your responsibilities during your break you can relax knowing that professional care is only moments away, giving both you and your family member peace of mind.

Our Live-in Carers are well trained to provide for the complex care needs of those who are suffering from Dementia and can provide expert care 24/7 to help people at all stages of Dementia. Moving those suffering from Dementia can actually worsen their symptoms, which is what makes Live-in Care such an effective solution, rather than a nursing home or hospice.

We understand how upsetting it can be to have a family member diagnosed with Dementia. Our Live-in Carers can also provide emotional support for the families of those suffering from Dementia and help you understand what is happening.

Our palliative care service involves providing live-in care, support and treatment for those suffering from a life-limiting or terminal medical condition. Our service is designed to provide clients with the best quality of life possible.

Receiving palliative care doesn’t mean that you are going to die soon. In fact, you can arrange palliative care at any stage of your illness for support with any of the treatments, therapies and medication needed to help control your illness.

Live In Care Somerset FAQ

Yes, while staying with you and providing care our Live-in Carers will require their own bedroom so that they can have their own space where they can relax and sleep while they are not working.

While our Live-in Carers can provide support with your care requirements, if you are in need of support for more advanced medical conditions then we would recommend requesting a Live-in Nurse instead.

Live-in Carers typically work seven days a week for a period of two weeks at a time. Whilst there are no specified hours of work, in each 24 hour period a Carer would need 8 hours for sleep. We also ask, where possible, that the Carer is given up to two hours off each day, preferably as a single break.

Yes, Live-in Carer bookings can be occasional, infrequent and short-term. For a minimum of 3 days. Please discuss your requirements with our New Client Care Consultants

Of course. Many of our clients have a regular carer that they prefer and we strive to arrange a rota of Carers wherever possible.
