Live in care in Wiltshire

Exceptional live-in care since 1962

Live-in care brings professional, personalised support directly into your home, with a qualified carer residing with you to provide assistance whenever it's needed, day or night. It's a flexible care solution that works for those who need help managing everyday tasks, individuals dealing with ongoing health conditions or disabilities that make independent living challenging, and anyone else who would value the security and warmth of having a caring companion close by.

The real advantage of live-in care lies in how it adapts to fit around you, rather than the other way around. Your daily life continues much as before - you maintain your routines, keep up your hobbies and interests, spend quality time with loved ones, care for your pets, and remain an active part of your community. Your carer works quietly in the background, providing support where needed while respecting your independence and ensuring your home remains your own. Everything that matters to you stays within reach, and you retain the comfort and familiarity of living life on your own terms.

Our live-in care services in Wiltshire

Introductory live-in care

With our introductory live-in care service, we recruit a self-employed carer who works in your home for you, independently of us.  In contrast to our managed live-in care service, with introductory care, we do not direct, supervise or manage the carers we introduce to you, and the carers are paid directly by you.

Managed live-in care

Our fully managed live-in care service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England, which results in regular inspections to ensure the care we provide is of the highest standard.  We fully manage the service, which means carers are supervised, managed and monitored by us when working in a client’s home.

Why choose live-in care in Wiltshire

Moving into a care home often means leaving behind everything familiar, but live-in care in Wiltshire offers an alternative. With a professional carer living in your home and providing personalised, one-to-one assistance, you can continue your life without the disruption of moving to an unfamiliar environment.

With live-in care, there are no imposed visiting schedules, no standardised meal times, and no restrictions on how you spend your day. Your home remains yours, and you decide who visits and when. You can enjoy meals at times that suit you, prepared to your tastes and dietary preferences. This freedom extends to every aspect of your daily life, from when you wake up to how you spend your evenings.

Most importantly, live-in care helps you or your loved one preserve the connections and relationships that bring meaning to life - whether that's your partner, children and grandchildren, beloved pets, or your place within the local community. You can continue attending social groups, pursuing hobbies, and participating in activities you've always enjoyed.

Benefits of live-in care in Wiltshire

Live-in care offers a highly personalised approach to your care needs, helping you or your loved one remain at home and avoid the need for residential care.

For couples, live-in care is a cost-effective alternative to a care home, allowing you to stay together whilst receiving personalised care from the same carer. As care needs change over time, live-in care also provides flexibility and continuity, ensuring you always have the right level of support.

Who can benefit from live-in care in Wiltshire?

There are many reasons why people choose live-in care for themselves or their loved ones. Some of the reasons for choosing live-in care include:

Frailty

As we age, frailty can increase fall risks and make daily tasks challenging. A live-in carer can assist with mobility, meal preparation, and housework.

Specialist condition care

If your loved one is living with a specialist condition, like dementia or Parkinson's a compassionate live-in carer can provide the necessary support and ensure their safety at all times. They can help manage daily routines and offer emotional companionship. Live-in care is particularly beneficial for those living with dementia, as it allows them to remain in a familiar environment.

Physical disability

A live-in carer can provide dedicated support, assisting with mobility, personal needs, and household tasks.

Isolation

If you or a loved one in Wiltshire lives alone without family support, a live-in carer can offer essential companionship and assistance instead.

Palliative / end-of-life care

After a terminal illness or progressive disease diagnosis, our Wiltshire live-in carers offer respectful, round-the-clock support to manage symptoms and prioritise comfort.
