How Live In Care Can Help

For those who live with reduced mobility, a complex condition, such as dementia, or other similar health concerns, daily tasks which used to be simple can become challenging, if not impossible. Not only is this dangerous, but it is also distressing and causes despair and hopelessness.

With one of our dedicated Live-in Carers, these issues can be mitigated, returning independence and a higher quality of life to you or your loved ones. Whether it’s companionship, support with mobility, medication, and hygiene, or all of the above, we can match you with a Live-in Carer to meet your specific needs.

What Does A Live In Carer Do?

What Are The Signs That My Loved One May Need Care?

In many cases, those that need extra help and support go to great lengths to try and conceal the problem from their family and loved ones. This may be out of pride, a desire to prevent their loved ones from worrying for them or out of fear of having to go to a hospital or care home. Thankfully, with Live-in Care you can calm some of their worries and reassure them.

If you are concerned that your loved one is in need of some additional support, keep an eye out for these signs:

  • Disturbed sleep

  • Poor eating habits, such as forgetting meals

  • Hygiene issues

  • Falls or a decrease in mobility

  • Wandering and forgetfulness

How We Can Help

Rated Good by the CQC, our Live-in Care service in Berkshire is tailored to your individual requirements and our Live-in Carers are assigned with your needs and likes in mind. We provide you with a carefully selected carer who will be with you 24-hours a day, seven days a week offering as much or as little personal and domestic support as you require. We can also support more complex care needs.

Our flexible respite care service offers a short-term care solution for those who provide care to a family member or loved one. We can arrange for carers to cover a single weekend, regular weekends or short breaks, as well as longer breaks, depending on your requirements.

Our dedicated and qualified Live-in Carers can provide help and support for those living with a complex condition, including Dementia, Parkinson’s and stroke. Wherever possible, we try to arrange for a rotation of regular Live-in Carers to look after a client living with dementia, to minimise disruption and encourage a calming environment.

We can also provide short-term care to assist with post-operative recovery or after a hospital stay. Our service can be booked in advance of surgery to ensure care is in place for when you need it.

We can also provide a palliative or end of life care service to provide support for those with a life-limiting illness. Our service can help you manage treatments, therapies and medication aimed at controlling your illness.

Offering A Real Alternative To Life In A Care Home

Life carries on as normal in the reassuring comfort of your own home, helping to extend your independence and giving you daily freedom of choice and a better quality of life.

We understand the importance of promoting and maintaining independence, helping maintain regular routines and having as normal a life as possible. From companionship through to personal care and to higher-level personal needs, our team can help nearly anyone to stay at home.

Our Professional Live In Carers Genuinely Care

Our team of Live-in Carers are experienced, well-trained and dedicated. They are provided with specialist in-house training alongside ongoing refresher training to ensure their skills are up to date with the industry best practices.

Live In Care Berkshire FAQ

Our 24-hour Live-in Care service begins at £92 per day for a single client who needs minimal personal care, or £107 per day for couples. In addition, there may be funding available to you from your local authority.

Yes, of course. Many of our clients have favourite regular Carers, and we try to arrange a rota of Carers wherever possible.

While our Live-in Carers can provide support with your care requirements, if you are in need of support for more advanced medical conditions then we would recommend requesting a Live-in Nurse instead.

Yes, a Live-in Carer will require their own bedroom while they stay with you. It is important that a Carer has their own space where they can relax and sleep while they are not working.

When pairing a Live-in Carer with one of our clients, we consider their individual needs, preferences, concerns, and personality through a series of relevant questions. This allows us to match you with a carer whose experience and expertise works with your care needs as well as their likes and dislikes to ensure they are the best fit for you and your needs.
