What Does A Live In Carer Do?
Our Live-in Carers will provide you or a loved one with the right level of care that is tailored to your situation and requirements while allowing you to remain in the comfort of your own home. This care can include personal care, help around the house, mobility support, social care and more advanced care for those with complex care needs.
We will introduce a Live-in Carer to you who stays with you in your home and provides a bespoke 24-hour care service. We take your individual care needs, concerns, preferences and personality into account when assigning Carers and will ask you to complete a care assessment with a few questions to ensure we assign the best Carer for your situation.
A Live In Carer Can Provide:
One-to-one care in your own home, 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
Social care and support, including help getting dressed and undressed, washing and bathing, toileting and personal grooming.
Help with general housework to keep you independent, such as cooking, cleaning and shopping.
Support with social activities and day outings, giving you total freedom of choice.
Companionship and emotional support, giving your family peace of mind that you are looked after.
Your Choice In Care
With over 60 years of experience as an introductory agency and our recently launched Managed Care at Home Department, we can provide our clients with a choice in care that suits their individual requirements.
Here at Consultus, we understand that people would rather receive care in their own home than be moved to a hospital or care home. As part of our introductory service, we can provide a dedicated and experienced Live-in Carer who will come and stay with you and offer support with your care needs.
In addition to our introductory service, we have recently launched our Managed Care Department for our clients in Dorset and the South West. This department is made up of experienced and committed care managers and consultants that will create bespoke care packages to ensure you are receiving the best level of care while remaining independent.
Not only is Live-in Care a far better solution for the care needs of the elderly that allows them to remain in their own home, but Live-in Care can actually be more affordable than other types of care provision, such as care homes.
For a single client:
24-hour Live-in Care for a single client who needs personal care starts at £87 per day
24-hour Live-in Care starts at £102 per day
Agency fee per carer:
Per week – £182 inclusive of VAT
On engagement of the Agency, the Registration Fee of £200.00 including VAT becomes due for payment.
We understand how upsetting it can be to have a family member diagnosed with Dementia. Our Live-in Carers are well trained to help support those suffering from Dementia and their families and can provide you with expert care assistance 24/7 to help people at all stages of Dementia.
Moving those suffering from Dementia away from familiar surroundings can be difficult and can worsen their symptoms. This is what makes Live-in Care the perfect solution to the care needs of those suffering from Dementia.
Palliative care involves the treatment, care and support of those with a life-limiting illness with the aim of ensuring you have the best quality of life possible.
You can receive palliative care at any stage of your illness and receiving palliative care doesn’t mean that you are going to die soon. In fact, some people receive palliative care for many years to help support them during treatments, therapies and medicines that are aimed at controlling their illness.
Many people provide elderly care for a family member or loved one in their own home. However, it can be extremely demanding on those providing care. This is why we provide a planned respite care service to allow those who provide care for a family member to have a break, ensuring they do not become overworked.
Planning ahead for regular breaks is an excellent way of preserving the long-term benefits of Live-in Care for all concerned. Once respite care has been arranged, both relatives and carers can rest easy knowing that their loved one is being taken care of by a professional Live-in Carer.
Short Or Long Term Live In Care
Here at Consultus, we provide both short-term and long-term Live-in Care in Dorset and across the UK.
Our short-term Live-in Care service is quick and easy to organise and can often be arranged within 24 hours’ notice. Our short-term care service is perfect for those who are in need of emergency care or are recovering from emergency surgery.
When given the choice, most people would rather stay in their own homes rather than be disrupted and moved into a care home. Thankfully, our long-term Live-in Care service allows our clients to continue enjoying their independence while still receiving professional 24-hour care.
