    Central to the Consultus service is our team of highly motivated and committed Nursing Consultants. Each has been chosen not only for their relevant nursing background experience, but also for their ability to listen and respond effectively to complex and challenging situations.

      Zoë Upton Nursing Manager

      Zoë qualified as a registered nurse with the University of Brighton in 1996. Her career started at the Kent and Sussex Hospital Tunbridge Wells, working on an acute surgical ward. She moved to the McIndoe Burns Centre at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead in 1997 gaining a wide variety of experience working as a staff nurse in Burns ITU, on the Burns ward, in Burns outpatients and Burns Outreach.

      Zoë has been the Burns Ward Manager for 4 years prior to joining Consultus in January 2016.

    • Nikki Reed
      Nikki Reed Nurse Co-ordinator
      Nikki Reed Nurse Co-ordinator

      Nikki Reed trained at Guys Hospital in London and qualified as a state-registered nurse (now called registered nurse level 1) in 1977. She gained experience in general nursing and coronary care while working as a staff nurse at Guys. From there she went on to qualify as a midwife and then as a health visitor, working in the community with young and older people. During this period Nikki also qualified as a nurse prescriber and completed an introduction to counselling course before joining Consultus in 2002.

      Jane Robinson Nurse Co-ordinator

      Jane Robinson qualified as a registered nurse in 1983 at Bromley Hospital, and gained experience working in general medicine and surgery. After qualifying as a midwife Jane lived and worked in Australia for two years before returning to the UK in 1991. She continued her work as a midwife in Kent while raising a family. Since joining Consultus in 2006 Jane has maintained her clinical skills through regular work in the local maternity unit.

      Mary Pursell Nurse Co-ordinator

      Mary Pursell qualified as a registered nurse at Kings College Hospital, London in 1985. She specialised in intensive care for many years at Kings, University College Hospital and Pembury Hospital before becoming a quality assurance facilitator in Bromley. Most recently Mary worked in community nursing in Kent, delivering high-quality nursing care to people in their own homes. Mary joined Consultus as a Care Consultant in 2007, and after two years in the company's Training department joined the Nursing team in autumn 2013.

      Jo Wotton Nurse Co-ordinator

      Jo Wotton qualified as a registered nurse at Charing Cross Hospital in London in 1982, working in a number of areas before becoming senior sister in their high dependency unit.

      She followed this with spells at the London Clinic in Harley Street, the private ward of the Royal Brampton Hospital in Chelsea, and a stint as a GP practice nurse in Holborn. Jo joined Consultus as an on-call member of the Nursing department in 1999 before becoming a regular Nurse Consultant in 2013. Jo has maintained her clinical skills working in the local private hospital.

      Shireen Shepherd Nursing Support

      Shireen Shepherd has been with the Nursing department since May 2009. Her initial role was administrative assistant to the Nursing Manager and other members of the nursing team. The role has since evolved and now also includes secretarial and occasional marketing duties.

      Yvonne Holberton Nursing Support

      Yvonne Holberton joined the Nursing department in 2008 and now works three days a week as a team coordinator, taking care of administration for the Nursing department and the Nursing Manager, as well as assisting with aspects of marketing.
