Three Day First Aid at Work Course
Award winning Consultus Care Training Centre launches new three day First Aid at Work course.
The Consultus Care Training Centre is delighted to announce two new opportunities for carers to gain First Aid qualifications. Following the Pearson approval process we are offering both the Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 Award and the First Aid at Work Level 3 Award.
First Aid At Work Level 3 Award
This accredited three day course is designed for those learners wishing to gain a nationally recognised qualification in first aid and for individuals who are designated first aiders within their workplace. Successful completion of the First Aid at Work certificate enables the successful delegate to provide emergency treatment in the event of an individual injuring themselves or falling ill.
This level 3 qualification comprises Emergency First Aid at Work as day 1, plus two consecutive additional days. On day 2 learners will demonstrate their ability to conduct a secondary survey, apply a sling and administer first aid to a casualty with a suspected spinal injury. Learners will also gain an understanding of how to administer first aid to an adult with a fracture, dislocation, head injury, chest injury and burns. On day 3 learners will gain an understanding of how to administer first aid to a casualty with a range of serious injuries including eye injuries, sudden poisoning, anaphylaxis, heart attack, stroke, epileptic seizure, asthma attack and diabetic emergency.
Learners will undertake both written and practical assessments throughout the three days and full support will be given by our qualified, experienced trainers.
On successful completion of the course, learners will be awarded an accredited certificate which is valid for three years. A certified First Aider has the necessary skills and knowledge to respond effectively to emergencies in the workplace and beyond.
All learners will be registered and certificated by Pearson/Edexcel and given an Emergency First Aid book to take away with them.
- Learners will need core reading and writing skills and be able to demonstrate Recovery Position and CPR ON THE FLOOR.
