Pearson accredited Diploma in Health & Social Care
Our Pearson accredited Consultus Care Training Centre is approved to train Consultus and non-Consultus carers for the Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
Our ultimate aim is to improve the quality of care across the industry, because of this we run these qualifications as a not-for-profit initiative, keeping the cost to you as low as possible and we offer a flexible payment option spread over five months.
We offer a 'rolling' programme which gives you more flexibility to start the qualification when you are ready, subject to assessor availability. These qualifications typically take up to six months to complete, and involve completion of nine mandatory units and at least eight other optional units.
Theory work will be completed using our online e-portfolio system, so it’s essential that you have regular access to a computer or tablet; full training in the use of this system will be given during your two hour Diploma induction session. If you have not studied since leaving school, English is not your first language or you lack confidence, please be reassured that you will receive full support from your allocated assessor for the duration of your studies.
Evidence of practical competency will be gathered by our experienced assessors, who will observe you caring for your client in their own homes on at least two occasions. For Consultus carers, this will mean observation at a typical live-in care booking; for non-Consultus carers, your client’s home or care home. For all observations the location will need to be within a commutable distance of our head office in Tonbridge.
