Three Day First Aid at Work Level 3
This accredited three day course is designed for those learners wishing to gain a nationally recognised qualification in first aid and for individuals who are designated first aiders within their workplace.
Successful completion of the First Aid at Work certificate enables the successful delegate to provide emergency treatment in the event of an individual injuring themselves or falling ill.
This level 3 qualification comprises Emergency First Aid at Work as day 1, plus two consecutive additional days. On day 2 learners will demonstrate their ability to conduct a secondary survey, apply a sling and administer first aid to a casualty with a suspected spinal injury. Learners will also gain an understanding of how to administer first aid to an adult with a fracture, dislocation, head injury, chest injury and burns. On day 3 learners will gain an understanding of how to administer first aid to a casualty with a range of serious injuries including eye injuries, sudden poisoning, anaphylaxis, heart attack, stroke, epileptic seizure, asthma attack and diabetic emergency.
