End of life care
This course provides learners with the opportunity to discuss their own feelings and any personal experiences of end-of-life care. By the end of the course carers should be able to:
- provide compassionate, individual care, whilst understanding cultural needs and personal preferences
- maintain dignity, comfort and wellbeing
- increase knowledge and awareness of physical changes and symptom management
- communicate with, and work in partnership with, healthcare professionals and support networks both actively and inclusively.
“Thank you for your compassion during this difficult time in a carer’s career.” – KG
