End of life care

Our half-day end-of-life care training course introduces you to the principles of palliative care and the need to meet clients' physical, emotional and spiritual needs through a holistic approach.

This course provides learners with the opportunity to discuss their own feelings and any personal experiences of end-of-life care. By the end of the course carers should be able to:

  • provide compassionate, individual care, whilst understanding cultural needs and personal preferences
  • maintain dignity, comfort and wellbeing
  • increase knowledge and awareness of physical changes and symptom management
  • communicate with, and work in partnership with, healthcare professionals and support networks both actively and inclusively.

"Thank you for your compassion during this difficult time in a carer’s career." - KG
