Sally - Live-in Nurse

Our Managed Home Care service is regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our latest report, which stated we were a good care provider, can be found here.

The Live-In Nursing Role

Our dedicated Live-in Nurses attend to the personal care needs of our clients who have chosen to receive social care in the comfort of their own home, rather than in a Nursing Home or Care Home. As part of our nursing team, you will be living with clients for up to 2 weeks at a time to provide them with the nursing care they require. You will be having a huge impact on the quality of life of your clients and will be providing nursing care for respite, post-surgical, rehabilitation, long-term medical conditions and palliative/end of life needs.

We have such a high demand for Live-in Nurses that we have vacancies throughout the UK for both full-time and part-time nursing roles, offering you flexibility over the location of your assignments. For many nurses, private nursing is a new challenge that offers them the opportunity to improve their work-life balance and gain greater control over their time.

Placements normally range from 4 to 14 days. For our long-term clients, we prefer to offer continuity of care with the same nurses rotating on a two-week cycle. This enhances the development of the relationship between our nurses and their clients, enabling the clients to feel more comfortable and secure, with improved health outcomes. Our two-week placement limit also makes it easier for our nurses to plan their time off.

What We Are Looking For?

With nearly 60 years of experience in providing Live-in Nursing & Care services, we take great care when it comes to hiring Live-in Nurses and Live-in Carers to join our team. We look closely at the attitudes of applicants and their approach to work, as well as their qualifications and any previous experience as a healthcare professional.

A caring, compassionate nature, reliability, commitment, flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills are all vital attributes for a Live-in Nursing career. In addition, we have a number of required qualifications for our Live-in Nurse job role.

We understand that many clients come to us for care at a highly emotional time for them and their families. Our Nurses are expected to be able to assist with both the practical aspects of daily life and the emotional support required. As such being a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or having experience in mental health nursing would be beneficial.

Live-in Nursing requirements:
