Long-standing Carer & Nurse Awards Luncheon 2018

On Wednesday 18 July, Consultus held their 8th Long-standing Carer and Nurses Awards Luncheon to celebrate and acknowledge the exceptional work carers and nurses do.

The awardees were nominated for going the extra mile in, what is at times, an extremely challenging role. Of those invited, some have completed over 180 bookings through Consultus – an extraordinary feat deserving of the occasion.

Actress Janet Dibley hosted the special event, supported by Consultus CEO Peter Seldon. Awardees were treated to champagne and canapés on arrival, followed by a delicious three-course meal. Peter then introduced and thanked each carer and nurse individually for their loyalty and hard work, while Janet presented their awards.

Consultus Project Director, Andrea Daddy, who coordinated the event said it was wonderful to have the opportunity to thank carers and nurses in person.

“Although we are in regular phone and email contact with the carers and nurses, they are busy working most of the time, and that’s why this event was created; to have a special day where we can show our appreciation for the incredible work they do and highlight how invaluable good carers and nurses are,” Andrea said.

Andrea also expressed her gratitude for Janet’s support of the important event, “Janet was a wonderful co-host and her presence had made the luncheon extra special for all who attended.”

Consultus is honoured to preserve the vision of its founder, the late Mrs Anne Stevens, who understood that ‘people feel better at home’. This would never be achieved without our incredible carers and nurses – we really couldn’t do it without them!
