Becoming a Consultus Nurse - Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Consultus nurse. By now you have probably read 'Becoming a Consultus Nurse' and 'Frequently Asked Questions' and you are keen to make an application but before we go further, please take the test below. Your answers will tell us whether or not we will be able to offer you an interview...

It is Consultus' policy to speak to each applicant by phone. If you have answered Yes to ALL the following questions you can either ring the Nursing Department on (01732) 355231 or fill out the form which will appear after you click the submit button below.

1 Are you a British or EU citizen, or do you have a visa enabling you to work as an agency nurse in the UK? Yes
 No
2 Many of our clients are hard of hearing, and have difficulty with strong accents.
Can you speak English well and be easily understood when you speak English?		 Yes
 No
3 Do you have full registration as a Nurse with the UK’s Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)? Yes
 No
4 Do you have at least 3 years post registration nursing experience? Yes
 No
5 Over the next year, will you be available for at least six placements, each of 2 weeks duration? Yes
 No
6 Do you have experience of or feel confident about working independently within clients' homes? Yes
 No
7 A live-in nurse will be expected to help clients with personal care including getting up, dressing, washing and toileting as well as laundry, cooking and cleaning.
Are you willing to carry out these duties?		 Yes

8 Do you have at least six months experience working in a healthcare environment within the United Kingdom? Yes
 No
9 Are you willing to travel and live away from home for at least two weeks at a time? Yes
 No
10 Is your PREP up to date and do you have recent manual handling and CPR certificates? Yes
