Local Nursing Work
Consultus specialises in ‘Live-in’ Care and Nursing and does not find work for health care assistants seeking local homecare, hospital or care home work. However, we can sometimes offer live-out work to NMC-registered nurses, to:
- Visit our post-operative or chronically sick private clients on a daily basis
- Help clients’ live-in staff with hoisting or other 2-person activities
- Form part of a 24/7 nursing team for a client who needs intensive or palliative care
- Provide part-time supervision to clients’ live-in carers
Visits would normally be between two and twelve hours per day on a weekly rota.
Job requirements
Please make sure you meet all of the following criteria before you apply:
- Registered with the NMC as RN1 (RNA)
- At least 3 years post-registration experience nursing elderly, chronically ill and palliative clients
- Minimum six months work experience in a UK healthcare environment
- Up-to-date manual handling certificate
- Ability to operate common hoists and other mobility/transference equipment
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Flexible working arrangements
Own vehicle preferred (travel refunded). We will need to interview you and take up references and a CRB check before we can confirm any offer of work.
