Nursing Job Requirements

Job Specification

You must be:

  • a Registered General Nurse (RN1/RNA) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • experienced, with a minimum of 3 years post-registration clinical work in a variety of settings
  • eligible to work in the UK (no work permits accepted)
  • if from overseas, have successfully completed an Overseas Nurse Programme (ONP) course
  • able to provide two professional references
  • up-to-date with all Post-Registration Education & Practice (PREP) requirements including a current moving and manual handling certificate
  • prepared to apply for an enhanced Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) check, at the standard rate of £42.00
  • available for at least six 2-week bookings in your first year
  • able to provide an immunisation record, showing Hepatitis B, BCG and tetanus status (additional immunisations and a health screening may be required for NHS clients).

You must have:

  • a desire to put the Client’s needs first
  • adaptability and flexibility
  • willingness to travel with little notice
  • ability to live away from home for weeks at a time
