How Home Care Works

The following will guide you through what happens when you need to book a Consultus Carer.

Carers are usually booked for two weeks at a time.  On completion of the booking where care is ongoing, the existing Carer will give a face-to-face handover to the next selected Carer.

1.   Telephone Us

The first step is to telephone us on 01732 355231.  Please ask to speak to a Care Consultant. Alternatively, you may wish to complete a Care Enquiry Form detailing your requirements, which we will respond to very quickly.

2.   We Listen

Central to our service are our highly experienced Care Consultants, who will listen to your concerns, needs and preferences, discuss options with you in great detail and agree a plan of action.

3.   Carer Selection

Following your discussions, a Care Consultant will review the most appropriate Carers available from our extensive nationwide database.  They will ensure that they assign exactly the right Carer to you in terms of skills, experience and personality.

4.   Written Confirmation

The booking will be confirmed in writing to both the Client and Carer. You will also be able to speak to the Carer assigned to you on the telephone before the booking commences.

5.   Follow Up & Feedback

We will regularly assess how bookings are progressing and ensure that all is well.  Our Care Consultants will carefully manage the Client’s ongoing care to give continuous cover for as long as needed.

Quality Assurance & Safety

We are delighted that so many of our Clients come to us by recommendation and that so many also take the time to write to us about our service.  You may be assured that we react swiftly to any concerns raised by our Clients and we also conduct a yearly Quality Assurance Survey.
