Care at Home

People feel better at home, more at ease with themselves, and this is particularly important later in life when being in familiar surroundings provides comfort, security and stability.

At home, friends and relatives can drop in whenever they like – without having to refer to visiting times that some care homes impose.

People often say they recover more quickly at home - and there’s little chance of acquiring a 'superbug' in one's own living room! So if there's a choice between an extended stay in hospital or being cared for at home, it's not hard to decide which of these options to choose.

Having chosen home care, some people try to get by with a team of visiting community care workers. However, many of our Clients tell us their local service was unreliable or inconsistent, or it could not provide them with round-the-clock reassurance or total freedom of choice, such as choosing when to get up or go to bed.

Instead, Live-in Care from Consultus has proved to be the best possible solution for our Clients, offering each of them a personal and holistic approach to their care and enabling them to enjoy life to the full.

Consultus provides Carers for older people in their own homes, as this is where they feel most comfortable, safe and secure.

A Live in Carer or Companion may be booked for a short time; perhaps following a Client's stay in hospital or for respite while their family is away. Often, Live in Carers are requested on a long-term or indefinite basis to provide personal care and help around the house.

Most of our Clients use our services on an ongoing basis, enabling them to continue living happily and safely at home rather than moving into a Residential Care or Nursing Home.

• Contact us directly and speak to a Care Consultant who will be happy to discuss your needs and preferences in detail and give you an estimated cost of our service.
• Complete and submit a Live In Care Enquiry Form; a Care Consultant will then make contact with you.
