What training can you offer Carers?
Consultus Carers can benefit from a wide variety of in-house training which has been specifically designed to meet their needs and those of our Clients. Our experienced trainers, Susan Antenbring and Barbara Williams, provide high quality, relevant and enjoyable training. Both Susan and Barbara are nurses, with specific training in the courses offered.
Training is important for all Carers, whether experienced or new to caring. Our courses:
- Increase self-assurance, knowledge and skills
- Inspire greater Client confidence
- Open up more work opportunities for our Carers
- Increase our Carers’ earning potential
- Address the demand for trained Carers from our Clients and their representatives
We currently offer training in the following: Induction & Manual Handling, Personal Care for the Elderly, Emergency First Aid, Working with Dementia, Stroke Awareness, Parkinson’s Disease, Manual Handling Refresher Training. Typically, each of our courses run for one day. 10.00am to 4.00pm.
Consultus heavily subsidises the cost of the training we provide for our Carers as we recognise the benefits our courses offer to both our Carers and Consultus. We also offer two free Distance Learning Training Packs for all new Consultus Carers.
If you are interested in attending any of our training courses or would like further information, please go to our dedicated Training pages, or contact Susan Antenbring or Barbara Williams on 01732 355231 or e-mail training@consultuscare.com.
