Do I need to have a police check?

By law, Carers in the UK must obtain a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Enhanced Disclosure before they start work.. You will also need to undertake an ISA (Independent Safeguarding Authority) Audit First Check. These are obtained by completing a form that we will give you.

Please note that due to legislation introduced in 2004, no healthcare employer or agency may accept a previously obtained disclosure, regardless of how recently it was issued.

If you have lived abroad you should also obtain a police check from that country.
