Care Job Requirements

Our Live in Carers come from a wide range of backgrounds; some have had a long career in nursing or care, others have no prior experience of caring for someone, but they all have many things in common:

You need a certain level of 'life experience' so our minimum age is 21, though the widest choice of bookings is available for Carers over the age of 25 who can drive.

There is no upper age limit but you must be physically fit to assist Clients with their mobility and balance and to work long hours for at least two weeks at a time.

Any formal 'job description' will be provided by individual Clients. You will work directly for the Client, not for the agency, so you should be prepared to arrange your own tax and National Insurance contributions.

Consultus does not offer placements to couples and there are fewer requests for male Carers.
